index_pic_1If you’ve never tasted G&W Bavarian Style Sausage, you may be asking “Why should I try them?” The answer is simple. We know what we’re doing. Our Bavarian-style sausage is created from secret recipes brought to the United States by the sons of a Sausage Meister, who was himself the son of a Sausage Meister. The recipes and processes have been handed down from father to son for three generations. (Please see the History page for more information.)

Bavarian-style sausage isn’t all G&W offers. Just a few of our specialty meats include Cajun Andouille, Italian-style Salsiccia, Polish sausage and hot links, Mexico’s popular Chorizo, and the all-American favorites: wieners and franks.

All retail sausages are wrapped in natural casings to ensure the best flavor. Please see our Store for a complete list, including G&W’s own creations.

We often experiment and have found some of our best sausages and meat products in this way. For example, one of our most popular recent creations is Smoked Cheddar Bratwurst, a mildly smoked bratwurst with chunks of cheddar added. It’s as delicious as it sounds. Replacing the chunks of cheddar with chunks of pepper jack cheese gave our customers another tasty treat with our Jalapeno Cheese Bratwurst.

Do you happen to be going on a camping trip or simply love the taste of jerky or summer sausage? We make that as well, and it is outstanding. Landjager, our premier all-beef stick, has been a local favorite for years and now we have added a Cajun variety. It’s smoked for hours with natural hickory and dried for a great bite. Please see our Store for jerky and summer sausage details.

The simple cold cut isn’t so simple when it’s created by G&W Sausage Company. Polish Krakauer, for example, is our most popular lunchmeat. It is a seasoned lunchmeat roll made with pork and beef, flavored with garlic, pepper and other spices. Among other special lunchmeats are Leberkase, a sausage meatloaf; Schinkenwurst, a ham sausage; and Black Forest Ham. A sandwich made from these is superb. Please see our Store for a index_pic_2complete list of cold cuts available.

To make a sandwich truly impressive, check out our specialty breads and mustards. From the famous Bruno Bakery in Chicago we have Sourdough, Hunza, and whole grain. Imported breads include Sunflower, Pumpernickel, whole rye, and Westphalian Pumpernickel. Mustards are carefully selected to complement our meats and are imported from Germany. Details for both breads and mustards may be viewed in our Store.
